During my training at the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) at Prince Mohammed bin Nasser Hospital, I was involved in receiving contaminated surgical instruments, ensuring proper cleaning and sterilization processes, and preparing instruments for sorting and storage according to safety standards.

Skills Gained:

  • Performing sterilization equipment performance and monitoring tests to ensure effective operation.

  • Receiving, sorting, and handling contaminated surgical instruments in the decontamination area.

  • Inspecting, packaging, and labeling cleaned instruments according to departmental requirements.
